A simple Mind/Body technique: let’s pretend that you have a craving for biscuits. First of all, imagine a scale from 0-10. with 0 = no cravings and 10 = maximum cravings.

Measure where you are on the scale when you think about eating the biscuits. Perhaps you’re a 6. Then simply wrap the fingers of your right hand around the pinkie & ring fingers of your left hand and squeeze firmly while pushing the fingers backwards. Obviously not enough to hurt yourself!

Stay like this for 30 seconds (remembering to breathe!), release and then repeat a few times.

Then think about the biscuits and measure where you are on the scale now. Likely you will have decreased the craving! Repeat as needed. If you are left-handed, just do the opposite of what I wrote above.
