I have been smoking almost 30 years, and Gillian helped me to quit with her hypsosis therapy. Since the first day it's been really easy. Now, after almost 40 days non smoking, I feel like I haven't need of smoking, either with smokers around, and I feel really proud of myself. I went to Gillian for help to stop smoking, but I got much much more than that. She has cured my long covid! I’ve been so sick for so long it is a massive relief to feel myself again. Gillian also worked with me through all my worries and frustrations with myself and has given me the tools and the belief I need to achieve sustainable change for the better in my life. I found Gillian after a friend recommended her to me. I did a block of 4 sessions with Gillian with one additional session afterwards. I have previously had anxiety at different stages in my life, can easily over worry but I came to Gillian when I felt it was particularly at its worst. I had previously tried various types of therapy (CBT, CBT hypnotherapy, person centred, general counselling, body talk) so I’ll be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect. Gillian made me feel at ease and was able to understand and knowingly guide me with a particular focus area on each session. Gillian helped me move the the high intensity anxiety feelings to a more manageable chunk and eventually over the number of weeks they were no longer there. Gillian also gave me some other practical tools which I found helpful to take away and do on my own. Gillian is without a doubt meant to be in this career and I can’t thank her enough.

Was recommended Gillian by someone else who had had a very positive experience with her as I was extremely anxious about my upcoming driving test and had failed previously due to excessive nerves. During the treatment Gillian was so lovely and made me so comfortable, and afterwards I felt so much lighter and ready to take on the test. I don’t usually post reviews, but this was a lot of money to be wasted… I am giving the hypnotherapy a 1 star as it did not work for me. Gillian is such a beautiful person who no doubt is extremely good at her profession as a therapist. I don’t think hypnotherapy as such… I went here to stop vaping. I have been vaping for 12 years next month. I read such great reviews and thought I’d give it a try… I didn’t know what to expect with being hypnotised. Was it a feeling of under a spell if you like? I had only watched hypnosis on tv. I did not get hypnotised on both occasions I had my sessions. I don’t know if gillian believes she can hypnotise or is it really about searching your inner subconscious? Well definitely not hypnotised nor really reached my subconscious mind. I did feel obviously really relaxed and and at ease as gillian listens and guides you. Also great advice and knowledge about anything I had to say. I did though cut down that week to 4 vapes instead of 7 due to being so aware that I smoke it far too much, but last week was back to what I vaped before. Really disappointing. The follow up after my second session was a brief text on how did you get on?, to which I replied I am back to my normal amount of vaping and the reply I got was ‘sorry to hear that’. I did find this upsetting as I expected a little more of something from her. It was 300 pounds which is a lot of money. I know when you spread the cost of vaping to what you pay for sessions is extremely low, but if it doesn’t work then by god it’s a lot of money. My advice to people to stop this Disgusting habit is to seek help from the nhs which is free who have similar sessions. I have now joined and already feel benefits more than this nonsense hypnosis. I think would be a great income 2 people per day would set me up for life pretending to hypnotise. I really couldn’t t afford it and paid off my credit card. I believed with the reviews this would be achieved. So sad. Sorry Gillian. I have just received your exact response from copy and pasting. You sent me this via text at 9ish this morning. You did tell me on the 1 st call you never had a failed client hence why I was so eager. Also the good will gesture was not personal it was a Christmas gesture to All clients. I did thank you in the text after half past 9 this morning, but felt there was no more I think you could do. I do appreciate you offering. I think with 2 failed attempts plus an exercise when I am at home has also failed I don’t see any point, but again thank you. Take care

I immediately felt comfortable and safe with Gillian and benefitted massively from my hypnotherapy sessions with her. Circumstances in my life had knocked my confidence profoundly and I had been feeling quite negative for some time. I saw Gillian for 4 sessions because I was binge eating sugary foods like chocolate, ice cream, cakes etc. After the very first session, I found for the first time in my life that I just didn't fancy all those things any more, so much so that I cut my grandson's birthday cake up and had no inclination to eat any. This for a woman who always looked at the dessert menu before the main course! In addition to this life-changing result, Gillian has guided me in ways to improve my lifestyle and general health and I feel equipped going forward to continue improving my physical and mental health and wellbeing. I went to see Gillian for anger issues, as was difficult to remain clam in situations, this was from a young primary school age up till now, and was having an impact on family life even ruining Christmas. With the Hypnotherapy things changed to be able to see the bigger picture and help to just accept what is happening and just shrug it off and not react angrily. Each session I looked forward to as after each I came out feeling much better about myself and through that week felt noticeably calmer in situations which I would have been angry in. Gillian is such a lovely person, talking to her was very easy and the sense to calm and reassurance was wonderful. I would highly recommend as I feel so so much calmer after my sessions with Gillian.

I came to Gillian because I had gained 1and a half stone during the 2nd lockdown. I had tried for months but couldn’t break my bad habits. I felt heavy and down that I couldn’t fit into any of my clothes. After 6 weeks of seeing Gillian I’ve lost a stone and 3 inches on my waist. I am in control of my eating and don’t eat after 7pm in the evening. She also help me put a toxic relationship that was holding me back behind me. During lockdown I had got into the habit of weekday dinking in the evening which I have reduced and now keep it to weekends. Gillian is completely gifted and has not got me back to my old self but help me step into the new me.

I went to see Gillian to discuss food relationship issues I had for many years and not really knowing what a hypnotherapist could do. We had an initial phone discussion to understand a bit better my issue and it turned out it was the relationship with myself we needed to repair. I've never been to a hypnotherapy so I didn't know what to expect and was quite nervous during my 1st appointment. I shared this with Gillian and she was very understanding and reassuring. While we work on my issue and relationship with food, I felt more and more comfortable and definitely experienced shift as the weeks went on ! It's great to see the real application in your everyday life. Also, Gillian is here to help and not to judge and I knew that from the 1st time I met her. I had 4 appointments throughout August and at the end of the 4th, I'm feeling complete and have a more conscious, healthy and tolerant relationship with food (and myself !) Very grateful for the work Gillian is doing, her positive aura and energy. These 4 appointments are truly a "massage for the mind" like she says ! Life won't be always peaceful but I know where I can find it if I need some ! Thanks Gillian !!

I came to Gillian 3 years ago about my anger managment and patience level issues and how it was effecting my relationship. I’d recommend Gillian to anyone who is looking for support and guidance from a hypnotherapist. While she is Edinburgh-based she does also run client sessions via zoom which I found were just as effective during lockdown. I’ve been working with Gillian over several months and it’s been such a positive and rewarding experience. Gillian is such a warm person, highly engaging and very in tune with her clients. Thank you, Gillian! I have just completed a 4 week hypnotherapy and weight loss session which has transformed my attitude towards food within this short time period . Gillian has helped me to understand more about why I was making the choices I used to and set new boundaries, have self care/love, balance and a positive outlook relating to food but most importantly towards myself! I was feeling frustrated and full of anxiety for a long period of time which was having a negative impact on many aspects of my life. Since meeting Gillian and undergoing the hypnotherapy I have shed 9lbs in just over 3 weeks ( without dieting), given up on my addiction to come zero ( I have not had any which is a miracle! ) and most importantly, I no longer crave processed , fatty food and alcohol. Gillian has taught me to enjoy food and alcohol in moderation and made it easy for me to make positive choices. I no longer eat as a result of my emotions and have found my love for cooking and fitness again! I am excited to start the 21 day weight loss challenge and will continue to implement all the positives I have gained from these sessions. Sleep dramatically improved. Half a stone in 3 weeks without feeling that you were even dieting. Big change in my self, language towards myself now more positive. More energy Eating healthily, 3 meals a day Portion sizes have became balanced. Stopped eating in the evening Feeling more positive & optimistic about myself, my home life, work life. Aversions to chocolate, biscuits, cake, crisps, fried food etc. We worked very successfully online, Gillian understood me more than I have, I never thought I could change my attitude towards eating. I have spent over 20 years trying do it myself, Gillian has helped me look at myself differently and really helped me to understand how my thinking works. Gillian called me back the same day and I knew straight away that I had done the right thing by taking this step to help myself.
